WELL, HELLO THERE!
Now a Charleston local, I spend most of my time outside. You’ll see a lot of organic structures, warmth, history, and a lil bit of whimsy in my work. Design projects challenge me to investigate opportunities to solve problems. Playful typography, nuances of space, and implicit symbolism are elements for developing my content.
As I said, I spend a lot of time in nature. Every Sunday I go to the beach, set up my chair to feel the sun on my face, and crack open my current historical fiction read. I find this time rejuvenating and inspiring for the week ahead. I find a lot of inspiration and happiness in the details of the past and what naturally occurs in this world.
After earning my BFA in graphic design from Western Carolina University, I moved across the state to Raleigh. Here I started my career and honed in on my creative skills in and out of the office. If I’m not designing on my computer, I’m either illustrating in Procreate or practicing my gotcha painting techniques.
Growing up in a small town in the middle of NC, moving away for college, and again to start my career, I’ve learned you never know what life is going to throw your way. Moving to Charleston on a fantasized whim with my husband and dog and it’s been the greatest curveball of our lives. So thanks for popping in on my work and life.
I am always interested in new opportunities, so feel free to contact me here or message me on instagram!
